The John Peel is a local hang out for most of the time, with it's great food, good atmosphere, juke box and a bunch of your friends, it really is the place to be in your lunch hour, free periods or if you just fancy a bite to eat.

Toby's Young Peoples Project

Toby's is an advice and information center for young people aged 13 -25. Toby's is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday daytimes between 10am and 5.30pm for young people to drop in and get free confidential, professional advice from trained youth workers. Toby's can help with issues around housing, drugs, work, education, home and family life.. Toby's has expertise in many area's and there is always someone on hand to help if you need us, or if you need a place just to come and chill out for a while. Have a coffe a chat, relax. Toby's is the place for you! Connexions are often in the building too. So if you need some help with education, training or work. Just ask and they'll be happy to help. Toby's opens again in the evenings on Monday, Wednesday and Friday between 7pm and 10pm. The atmosphere is a lot more relaxed and there is a lot of fun things going on, guitar hero championships, live music, arts and crafts. Or if you want somewhere just to hang out. There are some nice sofa's, you can just relax on and chat with your friends.

With it's absoloutly stunning senic views, grassy gardens and the high street just a few steps away. This is a great place to come, sit and revise in the sun, get a group of your friends and spend the day out in the sun with some books. Beats sitting in a comman room.

Castle Hill
(Along bimport by the ambulance station..)
Again, this hill side grassy area is a great location to sit and chill out with your friends, when the sun is shining, you'll be sure to find some young people out there, kicking aroun a football or just sitting down and having a chat enjoy the sunshine..
