Toby's Young Peoples Project
Toby's is an advice and information center for young people aged 13 -25. Toby's is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday daytimes between 10am and 5.30pm for young people to drop in and get free confidential, professional advice from trained youth workers. Toby's can help with issues around housing, drugs, work, education, home and family life.. Toby's has expertise in many area's and there is always someone on hand to help if you need us, or if you need a place just to come and chill out for a while. Have a coffe a chat, relax. Toby's is the place for you! Connexions are often in the building too. So if you need some help with education, training or work. Just ask and they'll be happy to help.
Toby's opens again in the evenings on Monday, Wednesday and Friday between 7pm and 10pm. The atmosphere is a lot more relaxed and there is a lot of fun things going on, guitar hero championships, live music, arts and crafts. Or if you want somewhere just to hang out. There are some nice sofa's, you can just relax on and chat with your friends.

Sub-Studio
If you're interested in music, maybe you want to learn how to run a recording studio, maybe your band is looking for somewhere to practice, or maybe you're looking for somewhere to record your first album. Sub-Studio is the place. The studio's services are free to anyone between the ages of 15-25 due to a partnership with Toby's Young Peoples Project.
Sub-Studio is a small well formed studio located in the basement of Toby's Young Peoples Project, capable of doing full band recordings and productions. In the past they have worked with bands, solo acts, spoken word artists, DJ productions and drumming circles. The studio's location gives young people the opportunity to explore music more than just listening to it on the radio, here you can make your own music..
The studio can be privately hired at competative rates and the well trained studio technicians are ready to approach any recording with enthusiasim and professionalism.

St John Ambulance
We are a voluntary organisation providing medical cover at local events. The Badgers are a group of youngsters who do all sorts activites involving first aid through to fun and games with the chance to earn awards and certificates.
The Cadets are a group of young people who train for first aid and earn other awards from childcare to crafts. Cadets are able to attend and assist adult members at local duties and get hands on experience.
We also train adults to provide ambulance cover at public events, its not just about ambulance we also have first aid trained members who attend duties as well. We train mainly on first aid and ambulance skills, we often are out and about in Shaftesbury doing practicals and getting our faces known

Meeting Times:
We meet Mondays at St John Ambulance Headquaters, Barton Hill Shaftesbury, SP7 8DQ (next to indoor pool)

Badgers age 5 to 10 meet 16.30 to 18.00
Cadets age 10 to 18 meet 18.15 to 20.00
